Each project is unique, and the Science and Administration Centre of Vilnius Gediminas Technological University (VGTU) is more than unique. We have used our knowledge and skills not only to implement modern lighting solutions, but also to ensure that the lighting is in sync with the architecture in terms of design. To achieve these goals, combinations of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and conventional lighting fixtures were applied.
Suspended lighting fixtures with direct and reflected light create comfortable and high-quality lighting not only in the workplace but also in the overall space. This way of lighting visually increases the space. The facade of the building is illuminated from the inside, and the horizontal planes of the ceiling are illuminated in a playful and 'clean' way, making the building look 'alive' even in the darkest hours.
Excellent light design solutions have often been jeopardised by a public procurement system that prioritises the lowest price or the cheapest product, often to the detriment of the architectural concept. Therefore, when working on the VGTU project, a lot of effort was put into choosing quality lighting solutions and products, as our company's goal is to create added value for the client and the architects.
