In order to implement the ideas of the architect Rolandas Palekas, our specialists designed and manufactured the Vindo lighting fixture system.
Vilnius University's Science Communication and Information Centre (SCIC) is impressive not only with its modern form, but also with its state-of-the-art technical and construction solutions. An open and easily transformable space for studying, learning, working and socialising, blending with nature and fostering an innovative and modern learning process.
The spaces were designed to serve people, not books. That's why it was decided to make the most efficient use of lighting. The windows on the sunny side of the building are small, strictly defined by linear strokes to shield books from sunlight, while creating a variety of different spaces according to the individual needs of readers, from twilight and dusk to areas flooded with natural daylight. Two of the building's walls, which are entirely made up glass, face the forest – a calming space.
